Why is my pain perpetual, and my wound incurable? It refuseth to be healed. Wilt thou be altogether unto me as a treacherous spring, as waters that fail?

And now my soul is poured out in me; days of affliction have taken hold upon me. The night pierceth through my bones and detacheth them from me, and my gnawing pains take no rest:

Be gracious unto me, Jehovah, for I am withered; Jehovah, heal me, for my bones tremble. And my soul trembleth exceedingly: and thou, Jehovah, till how long?

For my loins are full of burning, and there is no soundness in my flesh.

But I am afflicted and sorrowful: let thy salvation, O God, set me secure on high.
