Why is my pain endless, and my wound incurable? It refuses to become healed. Truly you are to me like a deceitful [brook], waters [that] are not trustworthy.

"And now my life is poured out onto me; days of misery have taken hold of me. {At night I am in great pain}; my pains do not take a rest.

Be gracious to me, O Yahweh, because I am feeble. Heal me, O Yahweh, for my bones are terrified. My soul is also very terrified. But you, O Yahweh, how long?

For my loins are full [of] burning, and there is no soundness in my flesh.

But as for me, [though] I [am] afflicted and pained, your salvation will protect me, O God.
