5 Bible Verses about Agriculture, Used Figuratively

The one who reaps receives wages and gathers fruit for eternal life, in order that the one who sows and the one who reaps can rejoice together. For in this [instance] the saying is true, 'It is one who sows and another who reaps.' I sent you to reap what you did not work for; others have worked, and you have entered into their work."

For just as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and they do not return there except they have watered the earth thoroughly and cause it to bring forth and sprout, and give seed to the sower and bread to the eater,

For ground that drinks the rain that comes often upon it, and brings forth vegetation usable to those [people] {for whose sake} [it is] also cultivated, shares a blessing from God.

Just as it is written, "He scattered widely, he gave to the poor; his righteousness remains {forever}."

By itself the soil produces a crop: first the grass, then the head of grain, then the full grain in the head.
