But now He has reconciled you by His physical body through His death, to present you holy, faultless, and blameless before Him—
And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ. We have now received this reconciliation through Him.
Everything is from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: That is, in Christ, God was reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed the message of reconciliation to us. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, certain that God is appealing through us. We plead on Christ’s behalf, “Be reconciled to God.”
For you were like sheep going astray,
but you have now returned
to the Shepherd and Guardian of your souls.
accepting one another and forgiving one another if anyone has a complaint against another. Just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you must also forgive.
Do not take revenge or bear a grudge against members of your community, but love your neighbor as yourself; I am Yahweh.
So if you are offering your gift on the altar, and there you remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled with your brother, and then come and offer your gift.
