Brethren, I do not account myself to have apprehended. But one thing I do, forgetting the things that are behind, and reaching forth unto the things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

So ye also, seeing ye desire spiritual gifts, seek to abound in them, to the edifying of the church.
This is a faithful saying, If a man desireth the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.
But I have striven, so to preach the gospel, not where Christ had been named, lest I should build upon another man's foundation.
For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of; for a necessity lieth upon me, and wo is me, if I preach not the gospel.
Some indeed preach Christ even through envy and strife; but some through good will. The one preach Christ out of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds: But the others out of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel.read more.
