Thus Jehu destroyed Baal out of Israel. However from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin, Jehu departed not from after them, that is, from the golden calves that were in Beth-el, and that were in Dan.

2 Kings 11:17-18

And Jehoiada made a covenant between the LORD and the king and the people, that they should be the LORD's people; between the king also and the people. And all the people of the land went into the house of Baal, and broke it down; its altars and its images broke they in pieces thoroughly, and slew Mattan the priest of Baal before the altars. Hosea 11:2

As they called them, so they went from them: they sacrificed unto Baalim, and burned incense to graven images.

When Ephraim spoke trembling, he exalted himself in Israel; but when he offended through Baal worship, he died.

2 Chronicles 28:1-2
