3 Bible Verses about Babylon Left Desolate

"And I will rise up against them," {declares} Yahweh of hosts, "and I will cut off name and a remnant from Babylon, and offspring and posterity," {declares} Yahweh.

And Babylon will become as a heap of stones, a lair of jackals, [an object of] horror, and [an object of] hissing, {without} inhabitants.

Because of the anger of Yahweh she will not be inhabited, but she will be a wasteland, all of her. Everyone [who] passes by Babylon will be appalled and will hiss because of all her wounds.
