And the steward said in himself, What shall I do? now my master takes away the stewardship from me; I am not able to work, and I am ashamed to beg.

The servant therefore fell prostrate before him, saying, Lord, bear with me a while, and I will pay thee all: and his lord had compassion on him, and discharged him, and forgave him the debt. But that same servant, as he was going out, met with one of his fellow-servants, who owed him but an hundred pence; and he laid hold on him and seized him by the throat, saying, Pay me what thou owest me:read more.
and his fellow-servant fell down at his feet, and intreated him, saying, Bear with me a while, and I will pay thee all. And he would not: but went away and threw him into prison till he should pay the debt. Now when his fellow-servants saw what was done, they were very much grieved, and came and acquainted their lord with all that had passed. Then his lord called for him again, and said to him, Thou wicked slave, I forgave thee all that vast debt at thy request,

And they came to Jericho: and as He was going out of Jericho, with his disciples and a great multitude, blind Bartimeus, the son of Timeus, sat by the way-side begging.

And as he was near to Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the way-side begging.

And there was a poor man named Lazarus, who was laid at his gate full of sores, and desiring to be fed with the crumbs that fell from the rich man's table: and the dogs came and licked his sores. And it came to pass that the poor man died,

And the neighbors, and they that had seen him before, that he was blind, said, Is not this he that sat begging?

And a certain man who had been lame from his birth was carried along; whom they laid every day at the gate of the temple, which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of those that were going into the temple: who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, asked alms of them.

(seeing ye have the poor always with you, but me ye have not always:) for in pouring this ointment on my body,

She has done a kind office to me. For ye have the poor always with you, and may do them good, whenever ye will; but me ye have not always.

For the poor ye have always with you, but me ye have not always.

Give to him that asketh thee, and him, that would borrow of thee, turn not away.

give to him that asketh thee, and from him that taketh thy goods on loan demand nothing.

Jesus replied, If thou wouldst be perfect, go, sell thy estate, and give it to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven; and come and follow me.

Then Jesus looked upon him with affection, and said to him, One thing thou wantest; go, sell all that thou hast, and give it to the poor; and thou shalt have treasure in heaven; and come, take up the cross and follow me.

But when Jesus heard these things He said unto him, Thou yet wantest one thing, Sell all that thou hast, and distribute to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.

Sell what ye have, and give alms: provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a never-failing treasure in the heavens, where no thief approacheth nor moth corrupteth:

But when thou makest a feast, invite the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind; and thou shalt be happy;

Then he said, Therefore I intreat thee, Father, that thou wouldst send him to my father's house:

And the men of that place getting knowledge of Him, sent into all that country about; and they brought to Him all that were ill; and intreated Him that they might but touch the border of his garment; and as many as touched Him were made perfectly well.

And wherever He came into their towns, or cities, or villages, they laid the sick in the streets, and intreated Him that they might but touch the border of his garment, and as many as touched it were healed.

saying, If Thou cast us out, permit us to go away into the herd of swine:

and all the demons intreated Him, saying, Send us to the swine, that we may enter into them.

but as there was there an herd of many swine feeding on the mountain, they intreated Him that He would suffer them to enter into them, and He permitted them.

And there came out of those quarters a Canaanitish woman, and cried to Him saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David; for my daughter is grievously tormented by a demon.

(now the woman was a Greek, a Syrophenician by nation,) and she besought Him to cast out the demon from her daughter.

And they brought to Him a deaf man, who had likewise an impediment in his speech, and pray Him to put his hand upon him.

And hearing that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me.

And when He was in one of the cities of that country, behold a man full of leprosy: who seeing Jesus, fell prostrate to Him, and besought Him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst cleanse me.

And there came to Him a leper, beseeching Him, and kneeling down to Him, and saying unto Him, If thou wilt, thou canst cleanse me:

But when he saw Jesus, he cried out and fell down to Him, and said with a loud voice, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I beseech thee, do not torment me.

and one of the people cried out, saying, Master, I beseech thee look upon my son, for he is my only child; and lo, a spirit seizeth him, and all on a sudden he screameth, and it convulses him with foaming; and bruising him, with much ado departs from him. And I prayed thy disciples to cast him out, and they could not.

And there was a certain nobleman, whose son was sick at Capernaum: who, when he heard that Jesus was come out of Judea into Galilee, went to Him, and intreated Him, that he would come down and heal his son; for he was at the point of death.
