concerning which salvation the prophets, who prophesied of the grace to be conferred on you, enquired and diligently sought after it: searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ in them did declare in testifying beforehand the sufferings that were to come upon Christ, and the glories following them: to whom it was revealed, that it was not to themselves, but to us they ministered these things, which are now declared unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you, through the holy Spirit sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.
And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders done among the people: And they all met with one accord in Solomon's portico:
And in these days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples, (now the number of the persons that were together was about an hundred and twenty,)
And the heart and soul of the multitude that believed was one: no one called any of his possessions his own property, but they had all things common.
And giving her his hand he raised her up, and calling the saints and widows he presented her alive.
Let no one have cause to despise thy youth; but he thou an example to believers in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

And when they heard it, they glorified the Lord, and said to him, Thou seest, brother, how many myriads there are of the believing Jews, and they are all zealous for the law. And they have heard of thee, that thou teachest all the Jews, who are among the Gentiles, to forsake the law of Moses, telling them not to circumcise their children, nor to walk after our customs. What then is to be done? The people must necessarily meet together; for they will hear that thou art come.read more.
Do this therefore, which we advise thee. Here are four men with us, that have a vow upon them: take these and be purified with them, and join in their expences, that they may shave their head: and that all may know, that there is nothing in what they have heard of thee; but thou thyself walkest according to the law. But as to the believing Gentiles, we have written and determined, that they need observe no such thing; only to keep themselves from what is offered to idols, and from blood, and from any thing strangled, and from fornication.
But to the rest say I, not the Lord, If any brother has an unbelieving wife, and she like to dwell with him, let him not put her away. And if any wife hath an unbelieving husband, and he like to dwell with her, let her not leave him.
A dissension therefore arising, and Paul and Barnabas having no small dispute with them, it was resolved that Paul and Barnabas, and some others, should go up to the apostles and elders at Jerusalem about this question.
Then he came to Derbe and Lystra: and behold there was a certain disciple there, named Timothy, the son of a believing Jewess, but of a Grecian father.
I speak it to your shame. What! is there not one wise man among you, that is able to judge between his bretheren?
So that tongues are for a sign, not to believers but to unbelievers: but prophecy not to unbelievers but to those that believe.
Be not unsuitably connected with infidels: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? or what communion hath light with darkness? what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath a believer with an infidel?
So that ye became examples to all the believers in Macedonia and Achaia.
And if any believer have relations widows, let them relieve them, and let not the church be burdened; that it may relieve those that are indeed widows and desolate.
And therefore as we have opportunity, let us do good to all men, but especially to those who are of the houshold of faith.
and let not those who have believing masters, despise them, because they are brethren; but serve them more readily, because they are faithful and beloved by God, partakers of his grace.
Give due honor to all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.
