Therefore having laid aside all filthiness and excess of evil, receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if any one is a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like a man beholding his natural face in a mirror:
like newly born babes, desire the pure milk of the word, in order that you may grow thereby unto salvation:
For the word of God is living, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing unto the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and a quick discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
