For he that cometh down from heaven, and giveth life to the world, is the bread of God. Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread. Then said Jesus to them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst more.

For I received of the Lord what also I delivered to you, That the Lord Jesus, in the night in which he was betrayed, took a loaf: and when he had blessed it, he brake it, and said, Take, eat; this is my body, which is broken for you: do this in remembrance of me. For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew forth the death of the Lord till he come. Wherefore, whosoever eateth of this bread, or drinketh the cup of the Lord unworthily, he is guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread, and drink of the cup.
