7 Bible Verses about Christ's Joy

I have spoken these things to you that my joy may be in you, and your joy be completed.

In the same hour he rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and intelligent, and revealed them to babes. Yes, Father, for so it has seemed good in thy sight.

And finding it, he puts it on his shoulders rejoicing; and coming to the house, he calls together his friends and neighbors, saying, Congratulate me; for I have found my sheep that was lost. So, I tell you, there shall be joy in heaven over one sinner that changes his mind, more than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need a change of mind.

but now I come to thee, and I say these things in the world that they may have my joy made complete in them.

looking to the chief guide and perfecter of the faith, Jesus, who for the joy set before him despised the shame and endured the cross, and sat down on the right hand of God.

and he having sent me is with me, he has not left me alone, for I always do the things which please him.

I tell you most truly, that you shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice; and you shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall become joy. For when a woman is in labor she has pain, because her time has come; but when she has borne the child she no longer remembers the distress, because of joy that a man is born into the world. And you therefore now indeed have sorrow; but I will see you again, and your hearts shall rejoice, and your joy no one shall take from you.
