7 Bible Verses about Christ's Joy

I have spoken these things to you, that my joy might remain in you, and your joy might be full.

Yet in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject to you; but rather rejoice, that your names are written in heaven. In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them to babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.

And having found it, he layeth it on his shoulders rejoicing. And coming home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying to them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost. I say to you, Thus joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, who do not need repentance.

And now I am coming to thee, and I speak these things in the world, that they may have my joy fulfilled in them.

who for the joy that was set before him, endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right-hand of the throne of God.

And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always the things that please him.

Verily, verily I say unto you, Ye will weep and lament; but the world will rejoice: ye will be sorrowful; but your sorrow shall be turned into joy. A woman when she is in travel, hath sorrow, because her hour is come; but when she is delivered of the child, she no longer remembreth the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world. And ye now therefore have sorrow; but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no one taketh from you.
