I know thy works, and thy labor, and thy patience, and that thou canst not bear those that are evil: and thou hast tried those who say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars; and hast borne trouble, and hast patience;
What is the advantage, my brethren, if any one say that he has faith, and he hath not works, can faith alone save him?
They profess to know God, but in works deny Him, being abominable and disobedient, and to every thing that is good void of understanding.
If we say that we have communion with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practise the truth:

But hereafter shall the Son of man be seated on the right hand of the power of God.

And there was delivered to Him the book of the prophet Esaias; and opening the book, He found the place where it was written, "The spirit of the Lord is upon me to the end, for which He hath anointed me: He hath sent me to publish good tidings to the poor, to heal the broken-hearted, to proclaim deliverance to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to release them that are bruised, and to preach the acceptable year of the Lord."read more.
And He folded up the book, and gave it again to the minister, and sat down: and the eyes of all in the synagogue were fixed upon Him. And He said unto them, this day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.
how shall his kingdom stand? because ye say, that I cast out demons by Beelzebub. And if I by Beelzebub cast out demons, by whom do your own people cast them out? wherefore they shall be your judges. But if I cast out demons by the power of God, you may be sure the kingdom of God is come unto you:

and why may we not do evil that good may come?"---as we are injuriously charged, and as some affirm that we say; whose condemnation is just.
Jesus therefore said unto them again, Verily, verily I tell you, that I am the door of the sheep.
And they began to accuse Him, saying, We found this fellow perverting the nation, and forbiding to give tribute to Cesar; saying, that He himself is Christ the king.
I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd layeth down his life for the sheep.
Jesus then told her, I am the resurrection and the life: he that believeth on me, though he were dead, shall live again.
For whosoever shall give you but a cup of water to drink, for my sake; because ye are Christ's, I assure you, he shall not lose his reward.
and said to Him, Art thou the Messiah? tell us. And He said unto them, If I should tell you, ye would not believe:
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me.
I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman:
Then saith the woman unto Him, I know that the Messiah, that is to say the Christ, is coming; and when He comes, He will tell us all things. Jesus saith unto her, I, who am talking to thee, am He.
Therefore I said unto you, that ye shall die in your sins; for if ye believe not that I am the Messiah, ye shall die in your sins. Then said they to Him, Who art thou? And Jesus answered them, Even the same that I told you at first. I have many things to say and to judge concerning you: but I only say, He that sent me is true, and I declare to the world those things, which I have heard from Him.read more.
But they did not know that He spake unto them of the Father. Jesus therefore said unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then ye shall know that I am He, and that I do nothing of myself, but as my Father hath instructed me, I speak these things. And He that sent me, is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I always do the things that are pleasing to Him. As He spake these words many believed on Him.
And Jesus stood before the governor, and the governor asked Him, saying, Art thou the king of the Jews? And Jesus answered him, It is as thou sayest.
Believe me therefore that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: at lest, believe me for the very works.
And Pilate asked Him, saying, Art thou the king of the Jews? And He answered him and said, I am as thou sayest.
Upon this Pilate sought to release Him; but the Jews cried out, saying, If thou release this man, thou art not Cesar's friend; for whosoever maketh himself a king, opposeth Cesar.
The Jews answered Him, saying, We do not go about to stone thee for a good work, but for blasphemy; and because thou being a man makest thyself God.
The Jews answered him, We have a law, and by our law He ought to die, because He made himself the Son of God.
And He said, Take heed that ye be not deceived; for many shall come in my name, saying, I am the Christ; and the time is near: but do not therefore go after them.
Then the high priest said to Him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us, if thou be the Christ, the Son of God. Jesus saith unto him, It is as thou hast said: and I tell you, hereafter ye shall see the Son of man sitting at the right hand of power, and coming on the clouds of heaven.
but he held his peace, and made him no answer. So the high priest asked Him again, and saith to Him, Art thou the Messiah the Son of the blessed God? And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.
He trusted in God, let Him deliver Him now, if He will own Him; for He said, I am the Son of God.
And the scribes and pharisees began to cavil, saying, Who is this that talketh blasphemies? Who can forgive sins but God?
Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long with you, and dost thou not know me? Philip, he that hath seen me, hath seen the Father: and how then dost thou say, Shew us the Father?
