Clouds and thick darkness are all around him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne.

Thick clouds veil him, so that he does not see, and he walks on the vault of heaven.'

Do you know how God lays his command upon them and causes the lightning of his cloud to shine? Do you know the balancings of the clouds, the wondrous works of him who is perfect in knowledge,

He covers the face of the full moon and spreads over it his cloud.

Can anyone understand the spreading of the clouds, the thunderings of his pavilion?

And when the priests came out of the Holy Place, a cloud filled the house of the LORD, so that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud, for the glory of the LORD filled the house of the LORD. Then Solomon said, "The LORD has said that he would dwell in thick darkness.
