As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire and like the appearance of lit torches; the fire went up and down among the living creatures and the brightness of the fire; and out of the fire went forth lightning. And the living creatures ran and turned as the appearance of lightnings.

Then I looked, and, behold, above the heaven that was above the head of the cherubim there appeared over them as it were a sapphire stone, as the appearance of the likeness of a throne. And he spoke to the man clothed with linen and said, Go in between the wheels under the cherubim and fill thine hand with coals of fire from between the cherubim, and scatter them over the city.
