So then, my brothers, when you come together to eat, wait for one another--
Now concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered together to him, we ask you, brothers,
not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
When you come together, it is not the Lord's supper that you eat.
But in the following instructions I do not commend you, because when you come together it is not for the better but for the worse. For, in the first place, when you come together as a church, I hear that there are divisions among you. And I believe it in part,
if anyone is hungry, let him eat at home--so that when you come together it will not be for judgment. About the other things I will give directions when I come.
But now even more the report about him went abroad, and great crowds gathered to hear him and to be healed of their infirmities.
What then, brothers? When you come together, each one has a hymn, a lesson, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation. Let all things be done for building up.
Lift up your eyes all around, and see; they all gather together, they come to you; your sons shall come from afar, and your daughters shall be carried on the hip.
The people also gathered from the towns around Jerusalem, bringing the sick and those afflicted with unclean spirits, and they were all healed.
For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them."
