For our comely parts have no need; but God hath tempered the body together, giving more abundant honour to that which lacked: That there might be no schism in the body, but that the members might have the same care for each other: And whether one member suffer, all the members might suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members might rejoice with it. Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in part.
A new commandment I give you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any have a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. And above all these put on love, which is the bond of perfection:
Having purified your souls by obeying the truth thro' the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, love one another with a pure heart fervently:

Now I rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up in my flesh that which is behind of the sufferings of Christ for his body, which is the church:
So, loving you tenderly, we were ready to impart to you not only the gospel of God, but our own souls also, because ye were dear to us.
Now we beseech you, brethren, to know them that labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you, And to esteem them very highly in love for their works sake, and be at peace among yourselves.
