and [as] they were sailing, he fell asleep. And a storm of wind came down on the lake, and they were being swamped and were in danger.

And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken. And immediately all the doors were opened and all the bonds were unfastened. And [after] the jailer was awake and saw the doors of the prison open, he drew [his] sword [and] was about to kill himself, [because he] thought the prisoners had escaped. But Paul called out with a loud voice, saying, "Do no harm to yourself, for we are all here!"

[I have been] on journeys many times, in dangers from rivers, in dangers from robbers, in dangers from [my own] people, in dangers from the Gentiles, in dangers in the city, in dangers in the wilderness, in dangers at sea, in dangers because of false brothers,

And at that hour a great earthquake took place, and a tenth of the city collapsed, and seven thousand {people} were killed by the earthquake, and the rest became terrified and gave glory to the God of heaven.

Rescue me, O Yahweh, from evil men. Preserve me from violent men,

And Pharaoh heard this matter, and he sought to kill Moses, and Moses fled from Pharaoh, and he lived in the land of Midian, and he lived at {a certain well}.

Now Saul spoke to Jonathan his son and to all his servants about killing David, but Saul's son Jonathan {liked David very much}. So Jonathan informed David, saying, "My father Saul [is] trying to kill you; now please take care! In the morning you should stay in the hiding place and conceal yourself.

I take refuge in God, my rock, my shield, and the {strength} of my salvation. My stronghold and my refuge, O my savior, you will save me from violence!

And when he came to the steps, it happened that he had to be carried by the soldiers on account of the violence of the crowd,

The clever sees danger and hides, but the simple go on and suffer.
