12 Bible Verses about Demon Possession

Now [when it] was evening, when the sun had set, they began bringing to him all those {who were sick} and those who were demon-possessed.

And they came to the other side of the sea, to the region of the Gerasenes. And [as] he was getting out of the boat, immediately from the tombs a man with an unclean spirit went to meet him, who {lived} among the tombs. And no one was able to bind him any longer, not even with a chain,read more.
because he had often been bound with shackles and chains, and the chains had been torn apart by him, and the shackles had been shattered. And no one was strong [enough] to subdue him. And during every night and day among the tombs and on the mountains he was crying out and cutting himself with stones.

And so then there was a man in their synagogue with an unclean spirit, and he cried out, saying, "{Leave us alone}, Jesus the Nazarene! Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are--the Holy One of God!" And Jesus rebuked him, saying, "Be silent, and come out of him!"read more.
And [after] convulsing him and crying out with a loud voice, the unclean spirit came out of him.

Now early on the first [day] of the week, [after he] rose, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, from whom he had expelled seven demons.

So Saul was watching David [with suspicion] from that day onward. {On} [the] next day, the evil spirit from God rushed upon Saul, and he prophesied in the middle of the house. Now David was playing [the lyre] with his hand on [that] day {as usual}, and the spear was in Saul's hand.

Then a demon-possessed man [who was] blind and mute was brought to him. And he healed him so that the [man who was] mute could speak and see.

And behold, a Canaanite woman from that district came [and] cried out, saying, "Have mercy on me, Lord, Son of David! My daughter [is] severely possessed by a demon!"

And Satan entered into Judas, the one called Iscariot, who was of the number of the twelve.

And the people of the towns around Jerusalem also came together, bringing the sick and those tormented by unclean spirits, who were all being healed.

But some itinerant Jewish exorcists also attempted to pronounce the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, "I adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preaches!" (Now seven sons of a certain Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, were doing this.) But the evil spirit answered [and] said to them, "Jesus I know, and Paul I am acquainted with, but who are you?"read more.
And the man {who had the evil spirit} leaped on them, subdued all of them, [and] prevailed against them, so that they ran away from that house naked and wounded.
