And the seventy returned with joy, saying, Lord, even the demons are subject to us by your name. And he said to them, I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.

for he had commanded the impure spirit to go out of the man; for it had often seized him; and he had been bound with chains, and confined with fetters; and breaking his bonds he had been driven by the demon into solitary places.

For he said to him, Impure spirit, come out of the man. And he asked him, What is your name? And he said to him, My name is Legion, for we are many.

AND calling his twelve disciples, he gave them power over impure spirits to cast them out, and to cure every disease and every infirmity.

But the Pharisees hearing it, said, This man does not cast out demons, except by Beelzebul, a ruler of the demons. But knowing their thoughts, he said to them, Every kingdom divided against itself is destroyed; and no city or house divided against itself can stand. If Satan casts out Satan he is divided against himself. How then can his kingdom stand?read more.
And if I by Beelzebul cast out demons, by whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore they shall be your judges. But if I by the Spirit of God cast out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you. Or how can one enter into the house of a strong man and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man, and then he will plunder his house. He that is not with me is against me, and he that gathers not with me scatters.
