And lo! there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and he was a righteous and devout man, waiting for the consolation of Israel. And the Holy Spirit was upon him;

Now a certain man in Caesarea, named Cornelius, a centurion of the band called the Italian band, a devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, giving much alms to the people, and praying to God always,

And some of them were convinced, and joined themselves to Paul and Silas, and of the devout Greeks a great multitude, and of the women of high rank not a few.

Therefore he reasoned in the synagogue with the Jews and the devout [Greeks], and in the market daily with those that met him.
