There was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon. This man was righteous and devout. He was waiting for God to save Israel. God's Holy Spirit was working in him.
There was a man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of the Italian Band. He was a devout man who respected God with his entire household. He gave many gifts of mercy to the people and prayed to God always.
When the angel who spoke to Cornelius left, he called two of his household servants and a devout soldier who was his attendant.
