And when the Philistine looked about, and saw David, he despised him: for he was but a youth, and ruddy, and of a fair countenance.
But now they that are younger than I hold me in derision, whose fathers I would have disdained to have set with the dogs of my flock.
For he has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither has he hid his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he heard.
When I wept, and chastened my soul with fasting, that was to my reproach. I made sackcloth also my garment; and I became a proverb to them.
O God, how long shall the adversary reproach? shall the enemy blaspheme your name forever?
