7 Bible Verses about Drawbacks To Man's Power

Thus says Yahweh, "[The] wise man must not boast in his wisdom, and the warrior must not boast in his might, [the] wealthy man must not boast in his wealth.

For the land is full [of] adulterers; for the land mourns because of a curse. [The] pastures of [the] desert are dry, and their evil has been their way of running, and their power [is] not right.

"The glory of Israel [is] on your high places; how [the] mighty have fallen!

How [the] mighty have fallen in the midst of the battle; Jonathan [lies] slain on your high places.

How [the] mighty have fallen and the weapons of warfare perished."

The nations will see and be ashamed because of all their might. They will lay [the] hand on [the] mouth; their ears will be deaf.

But I am coming to you soon, if the Lord wills, and I will know not the talk of the ones who have become arrogant, but the power.
