And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after the passover to bring him forth to the people.

Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also ye have received, and in which ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached to you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered to you first of all, that which I also received, that Christ died for our sins, according to the scriptures;

And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the first-born from the dead; that in all things he may have the pre-eminence.

He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

And he saith to them, Be not frightened: ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him:

And if Christ is not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.
