And the report of these things came to the ears of the church in Jerusalem; and they sent Barnabas to Antioch. Who, when he was come, and saw the grace of God, rejoiced, and exhorted them all with steadiness of heart to adhere to the Lord.

And I the more earnestly intreat you to do this, that I may be restored to you the sooner.
Dearly beloved, I exhort you as strangers and sojourners here, to abstain from carnal lusts, which war against the soul:
But having different gifts, according to the grace conferred upon us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of our faith: or ministry, let us attend to the ministry: or he that teacheth, on teaching: or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that distributeth, let him do it with integrity: he that presideth, with diligence: he that sheweth mercy, with chearfulness.
So ye also, since ye are so desirous of spiritual gifts, seek to abound in them to the edification of the church.
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another by psalms, and hymns, and spiritual songs, with gratitude singing in your hearts to the Lord.
Wherefore comfort one another, and edify each other, as indeed ye do.
preach the word, be instant both in season and out of season; convince, rebuke, exhort with all long-suffering and instruction.
holding fast the faithful word, according as he hath been taught, that he may be able both to instruct in sound doctrine, and to convince gainsayers.
These things speak, and exhort; and reprove offenders with all authority: that none may despise thee.
but exhort one another daily, while it is called to-day; that none of you may be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin:
not forsaking our assemblies, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more as ye see the day approaching.

But see that this liberty of yours be not by any means a stumbling-block to the weak. For if any one see thee, who hast knowledge, at table in an idol's temple, will not the conscience of him that is weak be encouraged to eat of the things sacrificed to idols?
