Now the God of peace, who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you perfect in every good work, to do his will, working in you that which is well-pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the advantage of all.
Wherefore, brethren, look out from among you seven men of good character, full of the holy Spirit, and of wisdom, whom we may appoint over this matter: but we will constantly attend to prayer, and to the ministry of the word. Endeavour to present thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
