Those who live through (in union with) (because of) Jesus Christ have no condemnation. [They do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.]

The one who pronounces me innocent is near. Who will bring a case against me? Let us confront each other! Who accuses me? Let him draw near to me! The Lord Jehovah helps me. Who will find me guilty? They will all wear out like a garment and moths will eat them.

Who will bring any charge against the ones God has chosen? It is God who justifies (makes righteous). Who is he that condemns? It is Christ that died, yes rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. Who will separate us from the love of Christ? It is written: For your sake we are put to death all day long. We are considered as sheep for the slaughter. (Psalm 44:22) In all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. But he (Christ) reconciled you in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and without blemish and without accusation before Him (God).

Jesus answered: Truly I tell you every one who commits sin is a slave of sin. The slave does not abide in the house forever. The son abides forever. If therefore the Son will make you free, you will be free indeed.

Do you not know that if you present yourselves to anyone as obedient servants you are his (voluntary) servants because you obey him? This could be obedience to sin with death in view or obedience to righteousness with holiness in view? But thanks to God, that you were the servants of sin yet you became obedient from the heart to the teachings delivered to you. After being made free from sin, you became servants of righteousness.

For we know that the law is spiritual. But I am fleshly and sold under sin. I do not understand what I am doing. For what I want to do I do not do. What I hate, I do. But if what I do not want to do, I do, I consent to the law that it is right.read more.
Now then it is no longer I that do it, but the sin that dwells in me. I know that good does not live in my human nature. For even though the desire to do good is in me, I am not able to do it. I do not do the good I want to do. Instead, I do the evil that I do not want to do. If I do what I do not want to do, this means that I am no longer the one who does it. Instead, it is the sin that lives in me. I find that this law is at work. When I want to do what is good, what is evil is the only choice I have. My inner person delights in the law of God. However I see a different law at work in my body. This law fights against the law that my mind approves of. It makes me a prisoner to the law of sin that is at work in my body. Miserable man that I am! Who will rescue me from the body undergoing this death? Thanks to God, through our Lord Jesus Christ! So then I can serve God's law only with my mind, while my human nature serves the law of sin.

He who is called in the Lord, being a slave, is the Lord's freeman. Likewise also he who is called, being free, is Christ's slave. You are bought with a price. Stop being slaves of men.

They promise them freedom, while they are bondservants of corruption. A man is brought into bondage by one and enslaved by another.

Let no sin rule in your mortal body, that you should obey the lustful desires.

A great cloud of witnesses surround us. Therefore let us lay aside every weight, and the sin that easily entangles us. Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us. Look to (consider without distractions) Jesus, the Leader (Predecessor) and Finisher (Perfecter) of our faith. He despised the shame. He endured the stake for the joy that was set before him. He who was born from God watches over himself, and the evil one does not touch him.

What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. We died to sin! How could we any longer live in it?

If our unrighteousness defines God's righteousness more clearly, what shall we say? God is not unrighteous when he vents his anger is he? I speak in human terms. Not at all! For how will God judge the world? But what if my untruth serves God's glory by making his truth stand out more clearly? Why should I be condemned as a sinner?read more.
Why not say, Let us do evil so that good may come? Some people have insulted me by accusing me of saying this very thing! They should be condemned and they will be.

All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient (profitable). All things are lawful for me, but all things do not build up (confirm) (strengthen).

We sought to be righteous in Christ. And we were found to be sinners. Is Christ a minister of sin? God forbid. If I build up again the things that I destroyed, I prove myself a transgressor. I, through the law, died to the law that I might live to (for) God.read more.
I have been impaled with Christ. It is no longer I that live, but Christ lives in me. The life that I now live in the flesh (physical body) I live by faith. This is the faith that is in the Son of God. He loved me and gave himself up for me. I do not reject the grace (totally undeserved gift) of God: for if righteousness is [gained] through the law, then Christ died for nothing.

Be careful that this freedom does not become a stumbling block to those who are weak. If any man with knowledge sees you having a meal from an idol's temple, will the conscience of the weak one be emboldened (encouraged) to eat food offered to idols? And because of your knowledge the weak brother will perish. Christ died for him!read more.
When you sin against your brothers and wound their weak conscience, you sin against Christ.

We who are strong in the faith ought to help the weak to carry their burdens. We should not just please ourselves. Let every one of us please his neighbor for his good to build him up. For even Christ did not please himself. However it is written, The reproaches (insults) hurled at you have fallen on me. (Psalm 69:9)

For you brothers, were called for freedom; only do not use your freedom for an occasion to the flesh. Serve one another through love!

Accept the man who has a weak faith, but not to entertain doubtful thinking. For one believes that he may eat all things. Another who is weak eats only vegetables. Let the one eating not look down on the one not eating. Let the one who does not eat judge him that eats, for God has received him.read more.
Who are you to judge another man's servant? He stands or falls before his own master. Yes, he will be made to stand for God can make him stand. One person judges one day above another. If because of your food your brother is grieved, you do not walk in love. Do not allow what you eat to destroy the one for whom Christ died. Do not let the good you do be spoken of as evil. For the kingdom of God is not food and drink; but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. For he that serves Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of by men.

Be free, and yet do not use your freedom for a covering for evil, but as servants of God.

Concerning things offered to idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up. If any man thinks he knows any thing, he really knows nothing, according to what he ought to know. But if any man loves God, God knows him.read more.
Concerning the eating of food offered in sacrifice to idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is no other God but one. There are those called gods in heaven or on earth. There are many gods and many lords. But to us there is but one God, the Father. All things come from him and we live for him. And there is one Lord Jesus Christ. All things were made through him and we were made through him. Not all people know this. Some eat food offered to idols and their conscience being weak is defiled. But food will not recommend us to God. If we do not eat we are not worse. If we eat we are not better. Be careful that this freedom does not become a stumbling block to those who are weak. And because of your knowledge the weak brother will perish. Christ died for him! When you sin against your brothers and wound their weak conscience, you sin against Christ. If food makes my brother stumble I will eat no food at all so I do not make my brother stumble.

I have a few things against you: you have people there who hold to the teachings of Balaam, who taught Balak to present a snare to the sons of Israel, to eat of idol sacrifices and commit fornication.
