Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

Charge the rich in this world not to be high-minded, neither to trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy:
I exhort you therefore, brethren, by the tender mercies of God, to present your bodies unto God, a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable, which is your reasonable service.
And this they did, not as we hoped; but first gave themselves to the Lord, and to us by the will of God:
And I beseech you, brethren, as ye know the houshold of Stephanas, that it is the first-fruits of Achaia, and that they have devoted themselves to serve the saints,
I speak as a man, because of the weakness of your flesh. As ye have presented your members servants to uncleanness and iniquity, unto iniquity, so now present your members servants of righteousness, unto holiness.
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labour is not vain in the Lord.
For God, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, is my witness, how incessantly I make mention of you,
Meditate on these things; be wholly in them, that thy profiting may appear in all things.
If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.
Wherefore if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend.
Even as I please all men in all things, not seeking my own profit, but that of many that they may be saved.
And I will most gladly spend, and be spent for your souls, though the more abundantly I love you, the less I am loved.

But Paul answered, What mean ye, weeping and breaking my heart? I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die at Jerusalem, for the name of the Lord Jesus.
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
He that findeth his life, shall lose it; and he that loseth his life for my sake, shall find it. He that entertaineth you, entertaineth me;
Then answered Peter and said to him, Behold we have forsaken all, and followed thee. What shall we have therefore? Jesus said to them, Verily I say to you, that ye who have followed me, in the renovation, when the Son of man shall sit on the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands for my names sake, shall receive an hundred fold, and inherit everlasting life.
And Peter said to him, Lo, we have left all and followed thee. And Jesus answering said, Verily I say to you, there is none that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands for my sake and the gospel's, But he shall receive an hundred fold now in this time, houses and brethren and sisters and mothers and children and lands with persecutions, and in the world to come eternal life.
Then Peter said, Lo we have left all and followed thee. And he said to them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God's sake, Who shall not receive manifold more in the present time, and in the world to come life everlasting.
For whosoever will save his life, shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life, for my sake and the gospels, he shall save it.
Neither obscenity, nor foolish talking, or jesting, which are not convenient, but rather thanksgiving.
Rejoice in the Lord always: again, I say, rejoice. Let your gentleness be known to all men; the Lord is at hand. Be careful for nothing, but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God:read more.
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Rooted and built up in him, and established in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
And the peace of God shall rule in your hearts, to which also ye are called in one body: and be ye thankful.
Therefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us hold fast the grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably, with reverence and godly fear.
