As an eagle stirs up its nest, hovers over its young, spreads out its wings, takes them, carries them on its pinions,

And have you completely forgotten the exhortation which instructs you as sons? "My son, do not make light of the Lord's discipline, or give up [when you] are corrected by him.

"Therefore, Oholibah, thus says the Lord Yahweh: 'Look! I [am] stirring up your lovers against you [concerning] whom you turned away, and I will bring them against you from all around:

Again Yahweh [was] angry with Israel, and he incited David against them, saying, "Go count Israel and Judah."
