He chooseth for us our inheritance, The excellence of Jacob, which he hath loved. Selah.

I have loved you, saith Yahweh, and yet ye say, Wherein hast thou loved us? Is not Esau, brother, to Jacob? enquireth Yahweh, Yet have I loved Jacob, And, Esau, have I hated, - and made his mountains a desolation, and his inheritance a dwelling for the jackals of the wilderness.

Even as it is written - Jacob, have I loved, but, Esau, have I hated.

Yahweh thy God be blessed, who delighted in thee, to set thee upon the throne of Israel, - because Yahweh loveth Israel unto times age-abiding, therefore hath he appointed thee to be king, to execute justice and righteousness.
