"I've loved you," says the LORD. "But you ask, "How have you loved us?' "Was not Esau Jacob's brother?" declares the LORD, "yet I loved Jacob, hated Esau, turned his mountains into a wasteland, and gave his inheritance to desert jackals.
So it is written, "Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated."
1 Kings 10:9
And blessed be the LORD your God, who is delighted with you! He set you in place on the throne of Israel because the LORD loved Israel forever. That's why he made you to be king, so you could carry out justice and implement righteousness."
