Then I saw a great white throne and Him who was seated on it, from whose presence earth and sky fled away, no more to be found. I tell you, the punishment on the day of judgment will be lighter for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah than for that town.

Stop being surprised at this, for the time is coming when all that are in the graves will listen to His voice, and those who have done good will come out for a resurrection to life, but those who have done evil for a resurrection to condemnation.

in a flame of fire, who will take vengeance on those who do not know God, that is, those who will not listen to the good news of our Lord Jesus. These will receive the punishment of eternal destruction as exiles from the presence of the Lord and His glorious might,

Then I saw heaven thrown open and a white horse appeared. His rider was called Faithful and True, and in justice He passes judgment and wages war. His eyes were like coals of fire. The armies of heaven, wearing pure white linen, followed Him on white horses. From His mouth shot a sharp sword, so that He could smite the nations with it. He will rule them with a scepter of iron, and will tread the wine press of the raging wrath of the Almighty God. On His garment and on His thigh He has this title written: King of kings and Lord of lords. Then I saw an angel standing on the sun, and in a loud voice shouting to all the birds that fly in mid-air: "Come! Gather for God's great banquet, to feast on the flesh of kings, generals, heroes, of horses and their riders; yes, the flesh of all men, freemen and slaves, great and small."
