8 Bible Verses about Half Heartedness

so that ye may not become lazy, but imitators of those who, through faith and longsuffering, inherit the promises.

Nevertheless, I have against thee because thou left thy first love. Remember therefore from where thou have fallen, and repent and do the first works. And if not, I come to thee quickly, and will move thy lampstand out of its place, if thou do not repent.

But Jehu did not take heed to walk in the law of LORD, the God of Israel, with all his heart. He did not depart from the sins of Jeroboam, with which he made Israel to sin.

And he said, Take the arrows. And he took them. And he said to the king of Israel, Smite upon the ground. And he smote thrice, and stopped.

And the man of God was angry with him, and said, Thou should have smitten five or six times. Then thou would have smitten Syria till thou had consumed it, whereas now thou shall smite Syria but thrice.

However the high places were not taken away. Neither as yet had the people set their hearts to the God of their fathers.

And he did that which was right in the eyes of LORD, but not with a perfect heart.

Their heart is divided. Now they shall be found guilty. He will smite their altars. He will destroy their pillars.
