And his disciples asked him, saying, Rabbi, who sinned, he, or his parents, that he was born blind? Jesus answered, Neither did this sin, nor his parents: but that the works of God might be manifested in him.

Then shall the eyes of the blind be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be opened. Then shall the lame one leap as the stag, and the tongue of the dumb shall give forth the voice: for waters brake forth in the desert, and torrents in the sterile region.

For this corrupted must put on incorruption, and this mortal put on immortality.

Thou shalt not curse the deaf, and before the blind thou shalt not give a stumbling block, and thou shalt fear thy God: I Jehovah.

And Jesus having answered, said to him, What wishest thou I should do to thee? And the blind said to him, Rabboni, that I might see again. And Jesus said to him, Retire; thy faith has saved thee. And quickly he looked up, and followed Jesus in the way.
