But those husbandmen said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours. And seizing him, they killed him, and cast him out of the vineyard. What will the lord of the vineyard do? He will come and destroy those husbandmen, and let the vineyard to others.
And he said to them, The harvest indeed is great, but the laborers few; pray, therefore, the Lord of the harvest to thrust out laborers into his harvest.
Do you not say, There are yet four months, and the harvest comes? behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and see the fields; for they are white for a harvest. Already he that reaps receives wages and gathers fruit for life eternal, that he that sows and he that reaps may rejoice together.
But I wish you not to be ignorant, brothers, that I often purposed to come to you, and was hindered hitherto, that I might have some fruit also among you, as among the other gentiles.
or does he speak entirely for our sakes? For our sakes, doubtless, it was written, that he who plows should plow in hope, and that he who threshes in hope should partake of it. If we have sown for you spiritual things, is it too much if we reap your earthly things?
And no correction seems to be joyful for the present but painful, but afterwards it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those exercised by it.

And he answered and said to them, He that sows the good seed is the Son of man; the field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; the poisonous darnel are the children of the wicked one; the enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the consummation of the world; and the reapers are angels. As, therefore, poisonous darnel is collected and burned with fire, so shall it be at the consummation of the world. The Son of man will send his angels, and they shall collect out of his kingdom all offenses, and all that commit wickedness, and cast them into a furnace of fire; and there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous shall shine out like the sun, in the kingdom of their Father. He that has ears, let him hear.
