For through much affliction and distress of heart I wrote to you with many tears; not that ye might be grieved, but that ye might know the love with which I abound towards you.

that I have great grief and continual sorrow in my heart: for I could wish that I myself were made a curse after the manner of Christ, for my brethren, my kindred according to the flesh;
