And having woven a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand. And having knelt down before him, they ridiculed him, saying, Hail, king of the Jews!
They answered and said to him, If this man were not an evildoer, we would not have delivered him up to thee.
And after they ridiculed him, they took the robe off of him, and put his clothes on him, and led him away in order to crucify.
And those who passed by reviled him, shaking their heads, and saying, Thou who destroy the temple, and build it in three days, save thyself. If thou are the Son of God, come down from the cross.
