All things were made through him, and apart from him nothing was made that has been made.

For by him all things were created, in the heavens and on the earth, things visible and things invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or powers; all things have been created by him and for him.

yet to us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things, and we for him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and we live through him.

He was in the world, and the world was made through him, but the world did not recognize him.
