And these things we write to you, that your joy may be complete. Moreover, this is the message which we have heard from him, and declare to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

A revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave to him, to show to his servants the things which must shortly be; and sending by his messenger, he signified them to his servant John, who testified the word of God, and the testimony of Jesus Christ, whatever he saw. Happy is he that reads, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep the things that are written in it; for the time is at hand.

And he said to me, Write-Happy are they who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb! And he said to me, These are the true words of God. And I fell before his feet to worship him; and he said to me, See you do it not: I am a fellow-servant with you, and with your brethren who keep the testimony of Jesus. Worship God; for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

And I, John, saw and heard these things, and when I heard and saw them, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel who showed me these things.

I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard a great voice behind me, as of a trumpet, saying, What you see, write in a book, and send it to the seven congregations; to Ephesus, and to Smyrna, and to Pergamos, and to Thyatira, and to Sardis, and to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea.

And when I saw him, I fell down at his feet, as dead; and he laid his right hand upon me, and said, Fear not; I am the First and the Last; I am he who lives and was dead; and behold, I am living for ever and ever; and I have the keys of the unseen world, and of death.
