which in his own times he shall show, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords,
And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying: Great and marvelous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of the nations;
But after John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the glad tidings of God, [saying,] The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent, and believe the glad tidings.
From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent; for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
And from the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent seize upon it.
But he said to them, I must publish the good tidings of the kingdom of God to the other cities also; because for this I was sent forth.
But if I cast out the demons through the finger of God, then hath the kingdom of God already come to you.
The Law and the Prophets were till John; from that time the glad tidings of the kingdom of God have been published, and every one is forcing his way into it.
Then will be the end, when he delivereth up the kingdom to God, the Father, when he shall have destroyed all dominion, and all authority, and power.
And the seventh angel sounded, and there followed loud voices in heaven, saying, The kingdom of the world is become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he will reign for ever and ever.
"Say to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy king cometh to thee, meek, and riding on an ass, and on a colt the foal of a beast of burden."
And Pilate asked him, Art thou the king of the Jews? And he answering saith to him, I am.
And Jesus stood before the governor; and the governor questioned him, saying, Art thou the king of the Jews? And Jesus said, I am.
And Pilate asked him, saying, Art thou the king of the Jews? And he answering said to him, I am.
Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, my servants would have fought, that I should not be delivered up to the Jews; but now is my kingdom not from hence. Pilate therefore said to him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest what is true; for I am a king. For this end have I been born, and for this cause have I come into the world, that I may bear witness to the truth. Every one that is of the truth listeneth to my voice.
whom Jason hath entertained; and they are all acting in opposition to the decrees of Caesar, saying that there is another king, Jesus.
but of the Son: "Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever; and the sceptre of thy kingdom is a sceptre of righteousness.
These will make war with the Lamb; and the Lamb will overcome them, because he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they who are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.
And he hath on his garment and on his thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Most High; and the Lord God will give to him the throne of David his father; and he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.
For David, after having in his own generation served the will of God, fell asleep, and was added to his fathers, and saw corruption; but he whom God raised from the dead did not see corruption.
And Jesus answered and said, while he was teaching in the temple, How is it that the scribes say, that the Christ is Davids son? David himself said in the Holy Spirit, "The Lord said to my lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool." David himself calleth him lord; and how can he be his son? And the great multitude heard him gladly.
And while the Pharisees were assembled, Jesus asked them, saying, What think ye concerning the Christ? whose son is he? They say to him, Davids. He saith to them, How then doth David in the Spirit call him lord? saying,read more.
"The Lord said to my lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I put thine enemies under thy feet." If David then calleth him lord, how is he his son?
And he said to them, How is it that men say that the Christ is Davids son? For David himself saith in the book of Psalms, "The Lord said to my lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool."read more.

Brethren, I may speak to you with freedom of the patriarch David, that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is among us to this day. Being then a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn to him with an oath that he would set one sprung from his loins upon his throne, he foresaw and spoke of the resurrection of Christ, that neither was he abandoned to the underworld, nor did his flesh see corruption.read more.
