Wherefore putting away lying, speak ye every one truth to his neighbor; for we are all members of one society.

Lie not one to another, seeing ye have put off the old man with his evil practices; and have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge, after the image of Him that created him.

But a certain man named Ananias, together with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession, and secreted part of the price, his wife also being conscious to it; and bringing: some part, laid it at the feet of the apostles. While it remained, did it not remain thy own? and when sold, was it not in thy own power? what is the meaning that thou hast taken this into thine heart? Thou hast not lyed to men, but to God. And Ananias at the hearing of these words fell down and expired: and great fear came on all that heard these things. And some of the young men arose, and wrapped him up; and they carried him out, and buried him. And about the space of three hours after, his wife also came in, not knowing what had happened. And Peter said to her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much. And she said, Yes, for so much. Then Peter said unto her, Wherefore have ye agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? behold the feet of those, who have been burying thy husband, now at the door, and they shall carry thee out. And immediately she fell down at his feet and expired: and the young men coming in found her dead, and they carried her out and buried her by her husband.

Then they suborned men to say, we heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses and against God.

and why may we not do evil that good may come?"---as we are injuriously charged, and as some affirm that we say; whose condemnation is just.

knowing this, that a law does not lie against a righteous person, but against the lawless and unruly, the impious and wicked, the unholy and profane, parricides, murderers, whoremongers, sodomites, kidnappers, liars, false-swearers, and if there be any thing else contrary to that sound doctrine,

But the fearful, and faithless, and abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake that burneth with fire and brimstone; which is the second death.

But without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and every one that loveth and practiseth falshood.

I know thy works, and thy labor, and thy patience, and that thou canst not bear those that are evil: and thou hast tried those who say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars; and hast borne trouble, and hast patience;

Now the Spirit expressly saith, that in latter times some shall apostatize from the faith, attending to seducing spirits, and doctrines of demons founded in the hypocrisy of liars, who are seared in their own conscience, forbidding to marry,

Ye are of your father the devil, and are bent upon doing the lusts of your father: he was a murderer from the beginning, and continued not in the truth: for there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh like himself, for he is a liar, and the father of such.

And the devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and they shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

He that saith, I know Him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for how can he, that loveth not his brother, whom he hath seen, love God whom he hath not seen?

But the unction, which ye have received from Him, abideth in you; and therefore ye have no need that any should teach you: since this very unction teacheth you concerning all things, and is truth and not falshood; even as that hath taught you, abide in Him.
