For I see Thy heavens, a work of Thy fingers, Moon and stars that Thou didst establish. What is man that Thou rememberest him? The son of man that Thou inspectest him?

Lightened have His lightnings the world, The earth hath seen, and is pained.

Forming light, and preparing darkness, Making peace, and preparing evil, I am Jehovah, doing all these things.'

Thus said Jehovah, Who is giving the sun for a light by day, The statutes of moon and stars for a light by night, Quieting the sea when its billows roar, Jehovah of Hosts is His name:

every good giving, and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the lights, with whom is no variation, or shadow of turning;

He made the moon for seasons, The sun hath known his place of entrance.

Who is speaking to the sun, and it riseth not, And the stars He sealeth up.

Lo, He hath spread over it His light, And the roots of the sea He hath covered, For by them He doth judge peoples, He giveth food in abundance. By two palms He hath covered the light, And layeth a charge over it in meeting,

Jehovah is thy preserver, Jehovah is thy shade on thy right hand, By day the sun doth not smite thee, Nor the moon by night.

that ye may be sons of your Father in the heavens, because His sun He doth cause to rise on evil and good, and He doth send rain on righteous and unrighteous.

Covering himself with light as a garment, Stretching out the heavens as a curtain,

And above the expanse that is over their head, as an appearance of a sapphire stone, is the likeness of a throne, and on the likeness of the throne a likeness, as the appearance of man upon it from above. And I see as the colour of copper, as the appearance of fire within it round about, from the appearance of his loins and upward, and from the appearance of his loins and downward, I have seen as the appearance of fire, and brightness is to it round about. As the appearance of the bow that is in a cloud in a day of rain, so is the appearance of the brightness round about.
