From the brightness before Him Were brands of fire kindled! Thunder from the heavens doth Jehovah, And the Most High giveth forth His voice. And He sendeth forth arrows, And scattereth them; Lightning, and troubleth them;
For I see Thy heavens, a work of Thy fingers, Moon and stars that Thou didst establish. What is man that Thou rememberest him? The son of man that Thou inspectest him?
To Him making great lights, For to the age is His kindness. The sun to rule by day, For to the age is His kindness. The moon and stars to rule by night, For to the age is His kindness.
Forming light, and preparing darkness, Making peace, and preparing evil, I am Jehovah, doing all these things.'
Thus said Jehovah, Who is giving the sun for a light by day, The statutes of moon and stars for a light by night, Quieting the sea when its billows roar, Jehovah of Hosts is His name:
every good giving, and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the lights, with whom is no variation, or shadow of turning;
He made the moon for seasons, The sun hath known his place of entrance.
Lo, He hath spread over it His light, And the roots of the sea He hath covered, For by them He doth judge peoples, He giveth food in abundance. By two palms He hath covered the light, And layeth a charge over it in meeting,

And I see as the colour of copper, as the appearance of fire within it round about, from the appearance of his loins and upward, and from the appearance of his loins and downward, I have seen as the appearance of fire, and brightness is to it round about. As the appearance of the bow that is in a cloud in a day of rain, so is the appearance of the brightness round about.
