And another sign was seen in the heaven; and, behold, a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his heads seven diadems.

(12:18) and he stood upon the sand of the sea. (13:1) And I saw a beast coming up out of the sea, having ten horns and seven heads, and on his horns ten diadems, and upon his heads names of blasphemy. And the beast which I saw was like a leopard, and his feet as of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion; and the dragon gave him his power, and his throne, and great authority; and I saw one of his heads, as if smitten to death. And his death-stroke was healed; and all the earth wondered after the beast.read more.
And they worshiped the dragon, because he gave his authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, "Who is like the beast, and who is able to make war with him?" And there was given to him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and authority was given him to work forty-two months. And he opened his mouth for blasphemies against God, to blaspheme His name, and His Tabernacle, even those dwelling in Heaven. And it was given him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them; and there was given him authority over every tribe, and people, and tongue, and nation. And all who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the founding of a world. If anyone has an ear, let him hear. If anyone is for captivity, into captivity he goes; if anyone shall kill with a sword, with a sword he must be killed. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints. And I saw another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he was speaking as a dragon.

And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. And, seeing her, I wondered with great wonder. And the angel said to me, "Why did you wonder? I will tell you the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carries her, which has the seven heads and the ten horns. The beast which you saw was, and is not, and is about to come up out of the abyss, and to go into perdition. And those who dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names have not been written in the book of life from the founding of the world, when they behold the beast, that he was, and is not, and shall come. Here is the mind that has wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sits. And there are seven kings; the five fell, and the one is, the other did not yet come. And, when he comes, he must remain a little time. And the beast that was, and is not, even he is an eighth, and is of the seven, and goes into perdition. And the ten horns which you saw are ten kings, who, indeed, received no kingdom as yet; but they receive authority as kings, one hour with the beast. These have one mind, and they give their power and authority to the beast. These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them; because He is Lord of lords, and King of kings; and those with Him are called and chosen and faithful." And he says to me, "The waters which you saw, where the harlot sits, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues. And the ten horns which you saw, and the beast, these will hate the harlot, and will make her desolate and naked, and will eat her flesh, and burn her up with fire.

Let no one deceive you in any manner; because that day will not come, unless the falling away come first, and the man of lawlessness be revealed??he son of perdition; he that opposes himself against, and exalts himself above, all that is called God, or that is worshiped; so that he sits in the temple of God, exhibiting himself as God. Do ye not remember that, when I was yet with you, I was wont to tell you these things?read more.
And now ye know what hinders his being revealed in his own season; for the mystery of lawlessness is already working: only He Who hindereth will hinder, until He is taken out of the midst. And then shall be revealed the lawless one, whom the Lord Jesus will slay with the breath of His mouth, and will bring to nought by the manifestation of His presence; him whose coming is according to the working of Satan in all power and signs and lying wonders, and in all deceit of unrighteousness to those who perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
