By this all people will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”
We know that we have passed from death to life because we love our brothers. The one who does not love remains in death.
Do not owe anyone anything, except to love one another, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law. The commandments:Do not commit adultery;
do not murder;
do not steal;
do not covet;and whatever other commandment—all are summed up by this: Love your neighbor as yourself. Love does no wrong to a neighbor. Love, therefore, is the fulfillment of the law.
For the entire law is fulfilled in one statement: Love your neighbor as yourself.
Indeed, if you keep the royal law prescribed in the Scripture, Love your neighbor as yourself, you are doing well.
And to love Him with all your heart, with all your understanding, and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself, is far more important than all the burnt offerings and sacrifices.”
