But speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into him, who is the head, into Christ,

Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so live in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, overflowing with thanksgiving.

But I, brethren, could not address you as spiritual men, but as carnal men, as infants in Christ. I gave you milk, not solid food; for you were not yet ready for it. Indeed, even now you are not ready, for you are still carnal. For since there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not carnal, and are you not walking like mere men?

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.

You were taught, with regard to your former manner of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful lusts; and be renewed in the spirit of your minds,

And this is my prayer, that your love may abound still more and more in real knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve what is excellent, and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ; having been filled with the fruit of righteousness which comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

We ought to give thanks to God always for you, brethren, as is fitting, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of every one of you for one another is increasing.

Epaphras, who is one of your number, a servant of Jesus Christ, sends you his greetings, always laboring earnestly for you in his prayers, that you may stand mature and fully assured in all the will of God.

You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, be on your guard so that you are not carried away by the error of lawless men and fall from your own steadfastness. But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.

We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak, and not to please ourselves.

Brethren, even if anyone is caught in a trespass, you who are spiritual, restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; each one looking to yourself, so that you too will not be tempted. Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

Brethren, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Let those of us who are mature have this attitude; and if in anything you have a different attitude, God will reveal that also to you.

And the ones that fell among the thorns, they are those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by the cares and riches and pleasures of life, and their fruit does not mature.

Since we have these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
