Every one that passeth over unto them that are numbered, from twenty years old and upward, shall give the offering of Jehovah.

So all they that were numbered of the children of Israel by their fathers houses, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war in Israel;

We speak wisdom, however, among them that are fullgrown: yet a wisdom not of this world, nor of the rulers of this world, who are coming to nought:

Of whom we have many things to say, and hard of interpretation, seeing ye are become dull of hearing. For when by reason of the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need again that some one teach you the rudiments of the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of solid food. For every one that partaketh of milk is without experience of the word of righteousness; for he is a babe.read more.
But solid food is for fullgrown men, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern good and evil.

And let patience have its perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, lacking in nothing.

Train up a child in the way he should go, And even when he is old he will not depart from it.

Hear, my'sons, the instruction of a father, And attend to know understanding: For I give you good doctrine; Forsake ye not my law. For I was a son unto my father, Tender and only beloved in the sight of my mother.read more.

And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, and was in the deserts till the day of his showing unto Israel.

And the child Samuel grew on, and increased in favor both with Jehovah, and also with men.

And the child grew, and waxed strong, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him.

This is that which belongeth unto the Levites: from twenty and five years old and upward they shall go in to wait upon the service in the work of the tent of meeting:

from thirty years old and upward even until fifty years old, all that enter upon the service, to do the work in the tent of meeting.

For by the last words of David the sons of Levi were numbered, from twenty years old and upward.
