Long ago God spoke to the fathers by the prophets at different times and in different ways. In these last days, He has spoken to us by His Son. “I assure you: We speak what We know and We testify to what We have seen, but you do not accept Our testimony. If I have told you about things that happen on earth and you don’t believe, how will you believe if I tell you about things of heaven? No one has ascended into heaven except the One who descended from heaven—the Son of Man.

But He said to them, “I must proclaim the good news about the kingdom of God to the other towns also, because I was sent for this purpose.”

From then on Jesus began to preach, “Repent, because the kingdom of heaven has come near!”
