And the messenger of Jehovah standeth in a narrow path of the vineyards -- a wall on this side and a wall on that -- and the ass seeth the messenger of Jehovah, and is pressed unto the wall, and presseth Balaam's foot unto the wall, and he addeth to smite her; and the messenger of Jehovah addeth to pass over, and standeth in a strait place where there is no way to turn aside -- right or left --

Give, my son, thy heart to me, And let thine eyes watch my ways. For a harlot is a deep ditch, And a strange woman is a strait pit. She also, as catching prey, lieth in wait, And the treacherous among men she increaseth.

For shorter hath been the bed Than to stretch one's self out in, And the covering hath been narrower Than to wrap one's self up in.

Go ye in through the strait gate, because wide is the gate, and broad the way that is leading to the destruction, and many are those going in through it; how strait is the gate, and compressed the way that is leading to the life, and few are those finding it!

and narrow windows are unto the little chambers, and unto their posts at the inside of the gate all round about -- and so to the arches -- and windows all round about are at the inside, and at the post are palm-trees.

the thresholds, and the narrow windows, and the galleries round about them three, over-against the threshold, a ceiling of wood all round about, and the ground unto the windows and the covered windows,

And the upper chambers are short, for the galleries contain more than these, than the lower, and than the middle one, of the building;
